Key Words with Peter & Jane at FM Lil' Shop ..

Hi everyone..

It's been a while since my last update on Adam's reading progress. Sorry again for the delay in updating the progress. But Alhamdulillah, last year we managed to finish lesson plan on Adam's reading activity. So for this year target, I'll more focus on his phonics - words building and segmenting. Will share it soon. Owh its including reading in Malay as well. We already started on Siri Bacalah Anakku too.

Speaking of P&J series, I've received few comments and requests from my blogger friends and friends to have these old but effective series to our humble shop as well. *and I pun tak sangka my entry on P&J previously get lots of reviews* Alhamdulillah, Allah has made a smooth journey for us to be reseller for these series.

A lil bit introduction for those who not familiar with this series..

Peter & Jane Series which has been more than 70 years in the market have been using by all parents around the world to help on reading. 

We can start to use this book (the first serie) to as early as 2 years old toddlers.

Yup, the are more on sight reading in the beginning..

But after few series and your kids already started kindy (and learned phonics), this book are helping alot on improving the sight words (list of words yg tak boleh di eja menggunakan konsep phonics).

Overall Peter and Jane Series are from Serie 1 until Serie 12.

Each serie with 3 level a, b and c.

Mini Book Set consists of Serie 1 & 2 (6 books) in mini box for easy storage and handling.

Our Today Moments..

Hola mommies !! *wave* Sorry for a looooong silence =(

It's already 2nd week in 2014 and hopefully its not too late for me to wish everyone a blissful New Year 2014. I believe everyone has already set their resolutions for this year. All the best mommies! Same goes to myself, I've created list of new year resolutions every year and over the past 2 - 3 years, all my resolutions were more towards my family specially my kids. Honestly, one of my main resolutions this year also to be more focused on my kiddos early learning (extended learning at home after school session) and I wish I could spend more quality time with my family by having great activities together soon. 2013 itself marked an awesome year for me. It went by without me actually planning on that, and I was so thankful to Him and so blessed with what I have now. 

Back to the resolution on spending quality time with our children, I believed all parents want the best for their children too. Ever since I was involved in online biz related to early childhood learning, I met and mingled with alot mommies who sometimes claimed they don't have enough time with their kids and do not know what should they do to support their kids early education at home. You don't have to be worried mommies as I was in the same shoes as all of you in few years back. Being a full time working mom, *and even all other working mommies too*, we have to juggle between work/career with family, especially when you have growing up kids that really need your full attention after work. Yeap, it's so stressful. Until at one stage, I was easily caught up in daily to-dos things and acted like a robot mom! The only things I know that time is to have quality time with my kids is during weekend *although weekend you still have to struggle with house chores too aight*

It was a waste of time thinking on the past few years where I only thought that my elder son only need to start his early childhood learning when he go to preschool at 5 years old! My biggest mistake in my life! And I promised to myself it won't be happened to my next kiddos. Alhamdulillah, my biggest target last year to help Adam on reading, writing and reciting Surah achieved. *proud mom* He can now performed Shalat with proper recitations. He can also read a few English books and his writing improved alots. What I did last year, was a very big changes to my life and my daily routine specially on weekdays. We had at least 20-30 minutes daily activities that we called as "family quality time" at night after bath and dinner, where my hubs and myself will focus on our kiddos learning including reading, writing and playing with their toys before they went to sleep.

What I had experienced in the past few years was not unusual. Many mothers faced the same experience of juggling with work commitments and being a great mom at the same time. I had a chance to participate in survey and interview conducted by Friso Gold recently with regards to sentiments of Malaysian mom. I found it a great tool for me to benchmark where I am now and contribute to the findings. There are a few things which I can related and totally agree. For example, the statement that more than half of the working mums surveyed  feel she does not spend enough time with her children, which is so true for me! The survey also shows a higher proportion of working mothers (about half of them) are feeling the tension to balance between work and family, agreeing that they don't have enough time in their daily life/routine and they have sometimes missed out their children's developments. Some them also do not know what activities are suitable for their children to enhance the kids' development. At this point many parents leave it all to school to teach their kids. I totally disagree with this! I trust that parents are the best teachers for our kids, and we should play a big role in ensuring the right learning development for them through activities at home and after school which I found can create stronger parent-child bond too. The best part is, my kids are calling me 'teacher-mommy' too! lol

Brotherhood..

After all, with the ever-rising cost of living in the city , it does not allow most mums to quit their jobs and be a full time stay-at-home moms!Yet, this is not the reason we can overlook on our children needs. Its all about how we able to manage our time and prioritize quality time with them. Its hard to measure the quality time we spend with our kids daily especially when we only consider it something must be only related to learning perhaps. Think of it in the another way. It will turn to sweet moments when we try to utilize short period of time we have daily as a quality time. As I do not have a helper at home *yes my husband helps me alot in doing the daily house chores and taking care of our children - he contributed to the % as well hehehe* I love to create bonding moments with my kids by encouraging them to help us on our daily and weekend household chores such as hanging up and folding the clothes, clearing up their toys and sometimes doing cleaning. Yeap, these also teach them on practical life as well. 

Being a working mom or stay at home mom, our biggest challenge are still the same in providing the best for our kids. Let us create the moments we have today and turn into beautiful moments for our kids to remember when they grown up.

Good day all..

It's been a while since my last update about reading stuffs of my 2 kiddos. Yeap, got bundle of pending entries to be updated. Will try to ramp up after this, InsyaAllah..

Anyway, just to update my kiddos new gadgets which I bought couples of weeks ago..

To be truth, I was eyeing on these things since few years back. At that time ragu2 nak beli sb tak properly study, fikir Adam pun tak start on reading lesson yet. So, bila Adam dah start reading this year, Alhamdulillah Ryan pun started to love books, so I guess its worth to invest on this reading system.

Most of the books for Tag Junior are simple yet with nice illustrations and cheerful sounds. My plan to start purchase on early reading books for Ryan too.

AD's First Sports Day..

Its was happened about a month ago at Kompleks Sukan UPM, Serdang..

*fuyoo gila lame delay entry mak, malah ada lagi entry yg delay waaaa*

Jauh okey pagi2 nak kena menapak..

Trying our best to reach earlier, as usual on time jugak jadiknye..

Car park pun hampir full, yet we were not that late, event not yet started by time we entered the stadium...

After sent the kids at their campus's tent, with some tears drama of Adryan nak ikut mommy and papa..

We managed to hide and let him to cool down himself, with the help from the aunties..

Few of kids specially from the playhouse, were crying and throwing tantarum..

Pelik agaknye tempat tu tak pernah datang...

So, the first agenda for the BBIM Sport Day 2013 was the children parade from all the campuses..

Playhouse kids wore bunny theme..

Look at the bunny mascot, super cute and so sporting!

Preschool's theme was the wolves!! Auuuuuu....

While the lil bunny was so easy to be spotted..

Lepas dah abis games, I brought him outside the stadium to enjoy cool Milo from the Milo Van..

Adam also enjoyed the Milo as well...

Ryan time ni dah tidur kepenatan..

It was a very hot and sunny day..

Yet, it was a great day. Kids were having so much fun, as well the parents!

New experiences for all of us. So priceless!
