The session started with the short opening from their CEO, Datin Chan-Low Kam Yoke.

Love to hear the motherly voice of Datin Chan and how she explained on why she wanted to have a school for pre-schooler and primary students despite the college and university under the same roof of Help International Corp. Their main mission is to ensure that all the students enjoy a full school life which will prepare them to lives as adults. *Love the quote!*

After the detail explanations on the curriculum and academic structure, the also have session to introduce all their line up teachers who were the back bone of HIS.

Fun learning using flashcards..

One of the good ways to help kids recognize alphabets, numbers or words by using flashcards. I love flashcards. Indeed its a useful tool to help kids in recognize and remember numbers and alphabets. Started to use flashcards ever since Adam small, I think around 1 year plus kut. But after attending Mama Ct's class on early learning workshop few months back, I met few friends who started to introduce flashcards since their babies were 2-3 months. Seriously. They even used flashcards yg words tau, the one from 'baby can read' kit. Oh dear. I know I was far far behind that time. I thot like 2-3 months, apelah sgt baby tahu kan. I was totally wrong. 

Currently, I have few sets of flashcards at home. Yang sekarang tengah pakai is the one to help Adam on reading using the Key Words flashcards by Ladybird. It helping actually specially those book that need exercises to make sentences.

And the new collection of flashcards my kiddos have now are Arabic and Iqra flashcards that we bought from Qaiser Darussalam Bookstore recently. Previously, we have set of Arabic words flashcards, self made by mom. After a while, faham2 je lah apa jadi kan. Glad that I found these colorful flashcards to replace the old one. Honestly, its hard to get those flashcards (Arabic and Iqra) in the market, and kalau ada pun tak secomel yg I jumpa ni..

Overall flashcards Arabic ni, ada semua huruf kecuali Lam Alif and Hamzah. Sebab dia pakai yg standard huruf punya, takde 2 huruf tu. The flashcards pun imported and quality of cards memang cantik. Tips of using flashcards to kids 1-3 years ni, bagi je diorang pegang and main. Sampai lunyai pun takpe..Sooner or later, dia ingatlah tu. Biasalah mak2 kan, sayang takut renyuk lah kan...Apa susah, bila koyak ke renyuk, beli lain..

Selain tu, involvement parents pun penting nak tunjuk ajar for kids. For babies plak, just flip the cards to them sambil sebut huruf2 tu. InsyaAllah, soon u will realize diorang dah start recognize bnyk perkataan. Sekarang ni pun tengah practice for Ryan, see how the improvement to him to recognize Arabic words plak...

While Adam more excited using the Iqra flashcards. The flashcards are both sided with great quality paper and nice illustrations.

I was stumbled upon a good website cum the bookstore recently. Honestly, I started to fall in love with the books they have and other early learning stuffs for Muslim children.  I know, you must say dah bnyk jual online shop specially at fb kan, sadly I’m not a good fb user thus I seldom get info of new and good stuffs from there. *pity me* Yes, it is Qaiser Darussalam Publication. If you visit the website, you will find all interesting books for children and adults and all imported from Darussalam Publisher from Saudi Arabia. Besides the online selling, recently they also launched a first Islamic boutique bookstore, Qaiser Bookstore located at Damansara Perdana. Viewing the pictures from the website, I was so eager to visit the bookstore and I make appointment with the owner, Pn Anita. Never thought that she will reply my email *yes she did* and I was so lucky then. After few weeks, due to the tight schedule on weekend, finally I able to meet her personally and visited the bookstore. Thanks sis!

The moment I stepped into the bookstore, yes it was exactly  like the pictures for sure *as I kept on viewing for the past 1 month ngeee* I felt like I’m visiting a boutique. With cosy area for reading and a cool area for kids as well.  Good to leave the 2 boys outside while mommy had good chit chat with Sis Nita at the office area. She is so friendly and very humble person *pretty as well! Sis, did anyone told you that u really look like Nurul Syuhada (TV3 presenter)? Wink!*, it made me more comfortable to be there.  I was so amazed with her, very dedicated and committed mommy of 2 kiddos in pursuing her ambition to make Qaiser Darusssalam as an Islamic hub for Muslim to find the beautiful of Islam through reading. Other than selling various books, Qaiser Darussalam also provided a lot of interesting early learning tools and material for little Muslim through Qhaleefah Ilm *the other brand under QD* Very cool stuffs indeed!
