Organic Grain Rice for Baby Food...


Adryan dah masuk 9 bulan. Sekarang dah boleh makan bubur, yeay!!*walaupun gigi takde lagik, takpe, mommy blend halus2 k ;)* He started to take 3 times meals per day. 2 times at the daycare and dinner at home. Misi sebenar nak beli brown rice, alih tersinggah kedai organic kat Empire tu dan jumpe grain rice plak. Keturunan sama jgak sebenarnya. Lepas dah panjang lebar di explain oleh sales girl kat situ, terus grab small packet utk try.*maklumlah, bukan terrer sngt bab2 organic food ni*

 

5 grain rice..



Containt of organic millet, organic buckwheat, red rice, red mountain rice and brown rice...
*huh pening jgak nak memahami nama2 grain n wheat tu, sila belajar ya mommynadia!!*



Cara simpan, nak kena masuk fridge..
Sebab boleh berkulat kalau simpan kat luar..
Specially kalau humidity tinggi..



Cara masak rice ni, sama macam masak nasi biasa pun..
Cuma kena rendam dulu 2 jam sebelum masak * tak pasti kenapa nak kena rendam dulu, nape ek??*
So far, I cook for 1 week stock. Ada jugak yang I baca, diorang basuh dulu beras, to kemudian goreng kering. Once dah blend halus, boleh mix dgn puree je..Balance keep for 1 week stock. Good idea jgak..



Sementara tunggu bubur masak, sayur semua steam dulu..
Ingredient kat atas pumkin, sweet potatoes, brocolli and dates..
So far dah banyak kali tukar menu such  carrot, avocado, dates..
or brocolli, celery, raisins and pumkins..
*Senang cite, letaklah apa saja yang kita suka, pun boleh, asalkan baby kita makan ;)*



Steam for 15-20 min..



And blend sampai fine texture..



Mixed with bubur dah masak tadi, biar sejuk...
Sebab ada unsur buckwheat and millet, texture lepas blend jadik macam oat yang di blend halus pun ada..



Dah sejuk, blend sekali lagik dengan bubur sebelum masuk dalam bekas utk dibekukan...
Senang??
 Ya, sgt senang dengan resepi suka hati mommy Ryan ni ;)
Yang pasti anak teruna saya makan dengan senang hati..
Will start on fish soon, once he reach 10 months old *opps, next week pun Ryan dah 10 months ;)*

Next trip nak kena pergi cari cous cous and quinoa plak..
Boleh replace oat yang dah nak abis..

hanie dah lama dah belasah macam2.. fish, chicken even beef pun dah. kalau ikut abah dia, udang dgn ketam pun dia nak sumbat gak. hanie nganga jeik. ape2 pun okeh.

You know, last time masa Faaz i started with brown rice instead normal rice. alih2 ramai plak ckp brown rice not really good for babies. confused i time tu. last2 mmg i switch to organic rice..

btw, nak share la, smlm i balik keja tgk the food i prepared for the twins tak berusik. heran gak. rupa2nya mil i pegi buat bubur for them, siap letak fish! :( i thot nak disciplinekan diaorg mcm Faaz dulu, start with fruits and vege puree, then 7-8 bulan start with rice porridge and after 8 months baru intro protein. tapi... *sob*. nasib harini dah cuti, i switch back the menu..huhu

I tried to google about brown rice jgak, but mostly they encouraged to take brown rice. In fact kalau tgk website homamade food pun, bnyk yg suggest brown rice. Will try to search more about pro n cons lagik ek..kalau u jumpa share ek.

Itulah u,sometimes its difficult to educate them about this. My in law pun selalu nak cuba2 bagi foods yg I tak bagi to my kids. But Harith was even more particular than me. Terus dia sekat his siblings n mom. Nad, try suruh Fadzil explain pasal ni. I think ur MIL will understand kan.InsyaAllah.

try quinoa. best jgak.texture lebih kurang millet.
ala kenapa tak jadik beli. takpe, yg penting semangat nak bagi homemade food is more important. kan kan ;)

Nadia thanks for the tips! Wanna ask can the Avent steamer blender blend the 5 grain rice? Last time i used to blend ikan bilis with it but tak jadi. i think the texture too keras.

so far I blend rice tu ok.cuma dia ada buckwheat, texture dia kasar sket..tapi ok lah..
never try for ikan bilis yet..
tapi soon, for rice,nk kena blend pakai blender baisa.hardcore sgt.;)
